Verizon at the Hub on Causeway
Corporate headquarters aren’t often described as energizing destinations. Many feel static, with little to inspire employees or visitors. For its space at The Hub on Causeway in Boston, Verizon envisioned something different: a headquarters that celebrates its innovation and transforms its building into a powerful symbol of the brand.
NBBJ’s experience design studio, ESI, created a building-wide sensory journey for Verizon through bespoke experiential activations. Outside, dynamic lighting and an interactive canopy respond to movement, offering a welcoming arrival. Inside, a custom LED display in the lobby showcases creative content and technology. The experience culminates in the Sky Lobby, where acoustic panels and immersive soundscapes bring the company's sonic brand to life.
Features
Sensors track people entering and leaving The Hub, broadcasting their presence as white orbs moving across the Skybox canopy in choreographed patterns that symbolize collective ingenuity.
