For the Fifth Time, Fast Company Honors NBBJ as One of the World’s Most Innovative Architecture Firms
Since our founding, NBBJ has pioneered innovative design methodologies. Not as an end in themselves, but to address complex challenges—advancing health, reducing waste, prioritizing speed and efficiency in construction, and mitigating costs.
Today, we are honored to be named one of Fast Company’s most innovative architecture firms in recognition of our commitment to tackling these challenges through prefabrication. The latest example is our work with Atrium Health, which encompasses the largest healthcare prefab construction program in the US, the country’s largest extensively prefabbed hospital, and $100 million in construction cost savings thus far.
But what are we most proud of? By building hospitals more efficiently, we help ensure that everyone, regardless of income level, receives a high standard of care. Because while innovation is admirable, the true measure of our success is in how we improve lives.
As a five-time recipient of the Fast Company most innovative award, NBBJ has been recognized in previous years for integrating nature into the workplace, our applied research fellowship with Dr. John Medina, and reshaping the future of behavioral healthcare design.
