In the workplace, interstitial spaces and amenities in offices serve as valuable environments for connection, creativity and innovation. To enhance the unique "in-between" spaces at Google's South Lake Union office, NBBJ’s Environmental Graphic Design studio utilized uplifting environmental graphics across the entire office.
Engaging environmental graphics throughout Google's South Lake Union office encourage collaboration and creativity. This includes an immersive stairwell that transports employees from the lobby to the workplace to create an experiential portal, while representing Google's brand colors and playful attitude. In addition, the Environmental Graphics team designed pup-friendly installations throughout, including colorful dog stations modeled after real-life canines that feature water bowls, bottomless treats, toys and cleanup supplies. Furthermore, custom wall graphics included in restorative amenity zones such as a circadian-lit "treehouse" imbue spaces with calming nature-inspired elements to create a home-like feel.
