Fast Company: NBBJ's Goldilocks Sensors Keep Office "Just Right"
Open-plan offices are collaborative, but they are also noisy. So what’s an employee to do? As part of an R&D initiative focused on improving workplaces, NBBJ’s Digital Practice created a sensor-based system called Goldilocks. The network—located in the firm’s New York office—measures sound, light, movement and temperature, and then relays that information back to employees through a smartphone app. In so doing, Goldilocks provides employees with the information needed to choose environments that best fit their needs. The concept is the focus of a story in Fast Company.
