The design strategy for the Tencent Shenzhen Headquarters Master Plan addresses sustainability at every level through the incorporation of rain gardens, bio-swales, green roofs and other water collection mechanisms that will capture stormwater for reuse in irrigating the landscape while also recharging the local aquifer. The master plan also re-establishes the health of the environment by transforming a man-made brownfield into a biodiverse sub-tropical landscape.
