TIME Recognizes NBBJ as Only Architecture Firm Among Its Most Influential Companies List

TIME recognizes NBBJ as a forward-thinking design innovator, particularly for pioneering the largest prefabricated healthcare building initiative in the country. The effort encompasses six new hospitals for Atrium Health, including the Carolinas Medical Center that uses 60% prefabricated parts, the most extensive of any large hospital in America. This initiative has saved $100 million in construction costs so far on the first three hospitals alone. By reimagining hospitals as kits of parts manufactured offsite and then assembled onsite, we are designing buildings faster, cheaper and more sustainably, while supporting health across diverse communities.
