Dezeen: Redeveloping Boston's Iconic Hurley Building
The Boston Government Services Center is one of the US's best-known Brutalist buildings, but it was never fully completed and had fallen into disrepair. To revitalize the site and improve the surrounding neighborhood, NBBJ partners with Leggat McCall Properties to redevelop the Hurley Building, which is part of the Center. Two NBBJ-designed towers—one life sciences tower containing laboratories and one residential tower— "will boost the commonwealth's world-class life sciences sector and add much-needed housing," said Massachusetts governor, Charlie Baker.
