A design expert with more than 30 years of experience, Rudy Widjaja has spent the majority of his career at NBBJ, where he resonates with a shared belief that life can be improved by designing for health. It is also where he enjoys the pursuit of design excellence, together with the firm’s global network of healthcare experts, to benefit healthcare clients in China and the United States. He sees healthcare design as a way to contribute to the physical, mental and social well-being of mankind.
Since 2014, Rudy has overseen NBBJ’s healthcare practice in China. With global design insight, healthcare expertise and local knowledge, he and his team are committed to creating state-of-the-art facilities to help heal patients and improve operating efficiency. Some of his recent projects include National Children’s Medical Center in Shanghai, Jiahui International Hospital in Shanghai, the Koo Foundation’s Sun Yat-Sen Cancer Center in Taipei and Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital’s Orthopedic Diagnosis and Treatment Center, which is now under construction.
