The Pirbright Institute, the UK’s premier institute researching animal diseases, recently opened a new £17.5-million laboratory facility to help drive new breakthroughs in safeguarding the health of both animals and humans. The NBBJ-designed Jenner Building, reports Laboratory News and the Architects’ Journal (registration required), provides flexible research space, a spectrum of spaces for intensive heads-down work as well as collaboration, and framed views across the countryside.
