The Impact of Neuroscience on the Design of Physical Space

Liverpool Exhibition & Conference Centre, Liverpool, UK, June 29, 2016

Designers have long integrated cultural, behavioral and environmental insights into architectural design. Now, architects at NBBJ are using lessons learned from neuroscience research to influence the design of hospitals, offices and urban planning projects. During the “Mind This Space: Architecture, Science and the Rise of the Conscious Cities” panel discussion organized by Museum of Architecture, NBBJ partner David Lewis is going to share how architects and planners, armed with neuroscience knowledge, can design spaces that respond to human needs. In particular, David will present how NBBJ has applied scientific findings on design.
