Circle Line “Travelator” Concept Featured in Evening Standard

The Circle Line is one of the London Underground’s most congested and frequently delayed routes. To spur a conversation about urban mobility, NBBJ released a concept that would replace the trains with “travelators,” the moving walkways synonymous with the world’s airports. Three side-by-side walkways, moving at varying speeds, would take commuters around the famous circular tube route faster than is possible today, resulting in considerably quicker, more enjoyable and healthier journeys.

First published in the Evening Standard, the story received widespread attention from The Guardian, Wired, Fast Company, Architectural Digest and other media around the world.
