Y Design: The Generation Gap in Office Design

London Festival of Architecture, June 4, 2015

The City Property Association recently announced that 50% of their workforce consists of those from Generation Y or younger. This has impacted the work environment in various ways. For one, as staff are now conducting business on the way to work, in cafes and at home, office space is radically changing to keep up. These spaces are now more frequently used to meet and brainstorm, to collaborate and to work flexibly.

Helen Parton, editor of OnOffice magazine, will chair a talk about these and other trends at the Wilkhahn Showroom, 45 Great Sutton Street, as part of the London Festival of Architecture. She will be joined by those at the forefront of contemporary office design, including David Lewis, a partner at NBBJ London, as well as representatives from Aukett Swanke and Ben Adams Architects, and Juliette Morgan of Cushman & Wakefield/Pi Labs.
