COLUMBUS – April 6, 2015 — Edwin Beltran, IIDA, Assoc. AIA, a principal in NBBJ’s Columbus office, has been named to the 2015–2017 International Board of Directors for the International Interior Design Association (IIDA).
As a vice president of the board, Beltran will help determine and oversee the strategic direction, policies and budget and operations of IIDA. He will also represent the association to the interior design profession at large.
Beltran said: “It is an honor to be named to the board of the International Interior Design Association. I look forward to continuing IIDA’s tradition of recognizing and promoting excellence in design, as well as to elevating the critical discourse within the profession and initiating partnerships with our peers in other professional organizations. Interior design plays a vital role in the wellbeing of the general public, and I am excited to further advance the visibility of our profession.”
As a design leader within NBBJ’s interior architecture and design practice, Beltran has contributed to the development of one of the nation’s “most admired” healthcare design practices and led some of the firm’s most notable and award-winning healthcare interiors. Influenced by his training as an architect and keen eye for interior design, Edwin’s integrated and multi-disciplinary approach to design is aimed at creating environments that are humanistic, sustainable, beautifully crafted and firmly grounded in the beliefs and values of their occupants.
