The Columbus office of NBBJ has officially signed a lease to take 22,500 square feet in 250 South High Street, the 12-story, mixed-use building the firm designed in downtown Columbus, when construction is completed in the spring of 2015.
Believing that a vibrant downtown is vital to a competitive region, NBBJ will join other creative design agencies — like Resource, another confirmed 250 High tenant — and young professionals who are moving into the city, creating a dynamic live-work environment in the heart of Columbus. NBBJ worked with the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and the Downtown Commission to design a building that reflects this fundamental lifestyle shift, with a contemporary glass curtain wall that contrasts with many other buildings downtown. The project will bring to downtown not only jobs, but also hundreds of full-time residents who will bring greater engagement with the city at large.
250 High, the first major commercial development along South High Street in decades, is being jointly developed by Daimler Group and Kaufman Development. It encompasses 315,000 square feet: six floors of commercial and retail space, topped by 120 apartment units on six floors.
