Defending LEED Certification in Ohio

Under pressure from chemical industry groups, the Ohio Senate recently passed SCR 25, a resolution to ban the use of LEED certification on all state-funded building projects, including new school construction.

In response, NBBJ Columbus architect Eric Thompson took to WOSU public radio to defend LEED against its detractors. “We’re supporters of LEED,” he explained, “because we’ve found it to be the best framework and the leading system that’s out there.”
