There's Silicon Valley in California, Silicon Alley in New York and Silicon Roundabout in London. But with real estate at a premium in these areas, tech companies are looking for up and coming neighborhoods to build new offices. That's the subject of an article in Curbed NY, which takes a look at NBBJ's proposal to turn a portion of the Red Hook neighborhood in southwest Brooklyn into a bustling district for tech, design and fashion. The proposed design includes 1.1 million square feet of space, resilient designs strategies to protect against the effects of climate change and a waterfront promenade.
