You may have heard of the Happy Planet Index, which measures well-being, or the Skyscraper Index, which links economic health with the height of skyscrapers. But should there be a new index that correlates building design with a company's performance?

That's the subject of a Financial Times article that profiles the design of new corporate projects for high-tech companies across the globe, including two by NBBJ. In his piece, architecture critic Edwin Heathcote asks whether the high-tech building boom is a good investment as companies grow, or whether it’s a sign of pride and eventual decline.
