The Columbus Dispatch devoted a Sunday feature to the design of the new $321-million Neuroscience Center at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital. In an extensive profile, the Dispatch unveiled some of the design challenges and the complex problem-solving that went into addressing them. “It’s for people who enjoy complex projects,” Tim Fishking, the project architect in NBBJ’s Columbus office, was quoted saying. “It’s all about problem solving and finding paths to resolution.”
When it opens in 2015, the Neuroscience Center will be a state-of-the-art, patient-centered facility, featuring 224 single-patient rooms filled with natural light and connected to the rest of the Riverside campus.
