Bloomberg Businessweek Says Architecture Projects Turning Silicon Valley Into Darker Shade of Green

From advanced search to wearable technology, Silicon Valley is home to some of the world’s greatest technological breakthroughs. But what the region has in surplus of high-tech innovation, it lacks in progressive, sustainable corporate office design. In fact, many companies in the valley are housed inside inefficient and nondescript office parks.

That is about to change however, as many companies — including NBBJ clients Google and Samsung — announce plans for new headquarters. Recently, Bloomberg Businessweek covered Silicon Valley’s building boom, and paid special attention to some of the sustainable innovations that will be included in new construction projects.
