Hart Plaza, a civic square on the riverfront in downtown Detroit, was designed by famed sculptor Isamu Noguchi in the 1970s. NBBJ has been commissioned for a planning study for renovating the plaza, now an unwelcoming concrete expanse that has fallen into disrepair. The Detroit Free Press has more about the plaza and the need for funds to make the project a reality.
